Our focus for the next few months is all about improving the Alt experience. Stay tuned with our most recent updates here as we add our newest product updates when they go live.
View Count
We’re excited to introduce View Count, a new feature that shows how many people have viewed your listings on Alt. In addition to tracking bids and watchers, you can now see the total reach of your cards, currently this is only available on Alt Auctions.
Why It’s Important:
- Measure Exposure: View Count gives you a clear picture of how well Alt is marketing your listings.
- Boost Engagement: Similar to bid counts, showing views can create excitement and FOMO for potential buyers.
You’ll see View Count both in the gallery and on individual item pages, offering you more transparency and insight into your listings.

Half Bidding
We've got a new update aimed at making Alt Auctions more competitive and accessible for both buyers and sellers: Half-Bidding! This feature will be available on Alt Auctions, giving bidders more flexibility during extended bidding.
How Half-Bidding Works
Half-bidding kicks in one hour into extended bidding—starting at 10pm ET—for all cards with bids of $20,000 or more. Once activated, the standard bid increments will be cut in half, allowing for more incremental bidding and giving participants more control over their offers.
Examples:
- If the current bid is $20,000, the next bid will be $20,500 instead of $21,000.
- If the current bid is $25,000, the next available bid will be $25,500 instead of $26,000.
What This Means for You
With half-bidding, you can stay competitive without jumping to large bid increments. It’s an opportunity to remain in the auction longer, competing for high-value cards at potentially lower costs. This added flexibility could be the difference in securing a valuable item.
As a reminder, Alt Auctions close every Thursday night, with extended bidding beginning at 9pm ET / 6pm PT.

More Ways to Pay
We’re thrilled to announce that Alt has added more ways to pay for your auction wins, giving you greater flexibility when it comes to completing your purchases. In addition to the standard Bank Transfer and Credit Card options, you can now choose from three new payment methods to make your checkout experience even smoother.
All Payment Options:
- Pay in Full: Quick and secure ways to pay for any purchases.
- Alt accepts ACH transfer, credit card, Wire Payment, and Apple or Google Pay
- Initiate payment right from the Alt app
- All cards must be paid within 7 days of auction close
- Learn more about wire payments or bulk payments here
- Payment Plan: You can place a 50% down payment on a card and take a short-term loan to pay off the remaining balance.
- The card purchased must have a final bid amount of $20,000 or higher to be eligible
- The request must be made to support within 5 days of auction close to initiate the buy now, pay later program
- Must be US based and in a state where Alt is eligible to originate loans (our support team will help you determine eligibility)
- You will be allowed to select a payment plan (1,3,6 months), loans will amortize (principal and interest payments) each month
- Payments will be due monthly, you are free to repay partial or full principal prior to this date without penalty
- Consigned Cards: You can use the cash advance from future consignments to pay for all or part of your auction purchases.
- The request must be made to support within 5 days of auction close to pay with consignment
- Cards submitted must be valued at $250 or more and meet all Alt Auction criteria
- Cards must be submitted within 14 days of payment request
- If the consignment only covers part of the purchase, payment for the remaining balance must happen within 7 days

Improved Payment Status
We’re excited to introduce an update that brings more transparency to the transaction process for cards sold in Alt Auctions. We’ve added a new labels that will give sellers a clearer view of the payment status on their sold listings and the hobby better insight into comps.
New Labels for Sold Transactions:
- Pending: The card has been sold but is awaiting payment.
- Payment Initiated: The payment process has started, providing an important status update before full settlement.
- Sold: The transaction has been completed and fully settled.
This update offers greater clarity by letting you track exactly where your sale is in the payment process, ensuring you’re always informed about the status of your auction listings.
We believe this will improve the seller experience by providing more real-time visibility into your transactions. Keep an eye out for the new labels on your sold items!

Enhanced Filters
Our new enhanced Filters are designed to give you a more streamlined and personalized auction experience. With these advanced options, you can quickly narrow down the cards you want to see, making your searches more efficient than ever. Available across Alt Auctions, Fixed Price, and searching across marketplaces.
What’s New?
Alt's enhanced filters let you get specific like never before:
- Rookie Cards Only: Focus on just rookie cards.
- Serial Numbered Cards: Set a serial range to see only cards that match your criteria.
- Variety Filters: Perfect if you’re looking for a particular type of card.
- Standard Filters: Year, grade, player, and other common options are still available with more precision.
These filters make it easier than ever to view only the cards that matter to you.

Flashed Items
We’re excited to introduce a new update that gives sellers more control over how they submit items for auction—Flashed Items! This change is designed to offer flexibility and improve the overall experience for our sellers by allowing more autonomy in the auction process.
What’s New?
For the first time, sellers can now choose which auction cycle to submit their items into directly from the UI. Previously, items were automatically submitted to the next available auction. With Flashed Items, you have two options:
- Submit items to the ongoing auction.
- Or submit them to the next upcoming auction.
This enhanced control allows you to time your listings in a way that best suits your strategy, ensuring that your items appear when the market conditions are optimal.

A: You can flash items into a live auction until the second Thursday of the auction cycle. Items must run for at least 7 full days to be eligible.
Q: Are flashed items still eligible for cash advances?
A: Yes, flashed items are treated exactly like regularly submitted items, including eligibility for cash advances.
Q: How do I view flashed items in an auction?
A: You can view any cards that have been flashed into an auction by toggling on the "Flashed Items" filter, available on both mobile and desktop.
