Remote Work Stories: Cassidy
July 22, 2022
One of our favorite benefits of working at ALT is the ability to work remotely. This allows our employees to spend quality time with their loved ones, and explore exciting new places. Over the next month we’ll be sharing stories from some of our team members to highlight where they’ve been while working at ALT.
Next up is Cassidy Sepnieski, Graphic Designer.
How long have you worked here?
8 months!
What place(s) have you been able to explore while working remotely, and why did you choose to go there?
I have spent time in quite a few different places throughout the United States! Washington DC, Boston, Minneapolis, Fort Collins, Durango, Vermont, Wisconsin and a few places in between! I did a lot of driving and saw a ton of small towns and big cities between my destinations.
I actually signed up to do pet sitting, so I went wherever the pets were! I was able to see some incredible things.
What was your favorite thing you did while traveling?
I got to go to 3 soccer games, an NFL game, a Lumineers concert, a Kings of Leon concert, a road trip down the coast of California, and a private midnight Dave Chappelle show. I also went skiing for the first time, and visited my first National Park. Right now I am out in Vermont spending the summer with some really incredible people!
What surprised you about working remotely?
Not having to sacrifice my career goals or financial security to go see things I had been putting off. I really only thought life like this was possible if you gave everything up and just roughed it, but I've found creative ways to do what I want and still be productive and grow in my role. I was also surprised by the flexibility and support of my coworkers to find that work-life balance.
Where are you considering traveling to next?
I’m going to Mexico for a wedding and back to Minneapolis for the fall! Hoping to make it down to NYC for a weekend while I am up in New England for the summer.
