This 2018 Japanese Pokémon Sun & Moon Promo features Pikachu dressed as Archie, the leader of Team Aqua, as part of the Team Rainbow Rocket's Ambition Campaign. Designated as card #192/SM-P and illustrated by Sanosuke Sakuma, this specimen has been graded PSA 10 Gem Mint. There are currently 702 copies recorded at this grade in the PSA population database. The card features a distinct holofoil background displaying a grid-patterned light reflection effect behind the stylized, costumed Pikachu.
Released exclusively in Japan during the spring 2018 Pokémon Center campaign, the Pretend Boss Pikachu series celebrated the history of the franchise's villainous organizations. This Team Aqua variant represents the antagonist faction from the Hoenn region, making it a central part of a highly collected seven-card campaign subset.
