The 1999 Pokémon Base Set Charizard #4 Shadowless holographic card is encapsulated in a PSA 8 NM-MT holder. The PSA population report records 1,531 copies at this numerical grade. Featuring artwork by Mitsuhiro Arita, the Shadowless printing is identified by the absence of a drop shadow to the right of the art frame, thinner typography used for the HP display, and the distinct 1995, 96, 98, 99 copyright date line.
Released by Wizards of the Coast during the initial North American launch of the Pokémon TCG, the Shadowless print run represents an intermediate production phase between the First Edition printing and the standard Unlimited print run. Positioned as card #4 out of 102 in the original set, Charizard is the key holographic subject from the inaugural 1999 Base Set issue.Show more
