2001 Pokemon Corocoro Comics Promo Japanese Holo Shining Mew #151
Pokemon Cards
PSA5
Pop1,871
The 2001 Japanese Pokémon CoroCoro Comics Promo Shining Mew #151 features artwork by illustrator Hironobu Yoshida. Graded EX 5 by PSA, this card has a recorded population of 1,766 in the PSA registry at this grade. The card presents a distinct holographic glitter pattern across the artwork background and retains the original Japanese game mechanics text along the upper margin, which restricts play to a single Shining Mew per deck.
Distributed as a bonus insert in the May 2001 issue of Japan's CoroCoro Comic magazine, this release coincided with the rollout of Shining Pokémon during the TCG's Neo era. Unlike standard set cards from the period, the CoroCoro promo utilized a full-surface glitter foil finish over the cosmic background illustration. Released strictly through print publication distribution, the card stands as a key promotional issue in early Japanese Pokémon card history.Show more
