This 1st Edition Lt. Surge's Pikachu #84 comes from the 2000 Gym Challenge expansion, the final English set featuring the original Gym Leader mechanics. Graded a PSA 10 Gem Mint, this copy is one of 631 examples at this tier. The card features artwork by the legendary Atsuko Nishida, the original designer of Pikachu, capturing the Pokémon in a distinct sunset-themed illustration. Gym Challenge expanded on the earlier Gym Heroes set by introducing more powerful 'Owner's Pokémon' tied to the Kanto region Leaders, making these early 1st Edition prints foundational pieces of Wizards of the Coast-era history. It's a well-preserved example of a classic character card from a set that continues to hold a significant place in the TCG's legacy.Show more
