1999 Pokemon Base Set Yellow Cheeks Shadowless Pikachu #58
Pokemon Cards
CGC10
Pop61
Pikachu from the 1999 Base Set remains a central piece for Pokémon collectors, especially in the Shadowless variant. This version represents the second print run of the original English set and is distinguished by its thinner HP font and the absence of the drop shadow on the right side of the character frame. Graded a Gem Mint 10 by CGC, this card features the classic yellow cheeks artwork by Mitsuhiro Arita and carries a population of 58 at this grade. In the context of the franchise's history, Shadowless cards offer a distinct aesthetic that bridges the gap between the initial 1st Edition run and the later, more common Unlimited print. This copy provides a well-preserved look at the game's mascot from its inaugural 102-card set, offering a clean presentation for those looking to add high-grade vintage material to their collection.Show more
