This 2004 Pokémon EX Team Rocket Returns Torchic Gold Star #108 is graded PSA 9 Mint. Illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, Gold Star cards introduced shiny variant Pokémon to the TCG during the EX Series, featuring unique artwork where the character breaks out of the standard image frame along with a printed deck-legality restriction limiting players to just one Pokémon Star in a deck. The PSA population report records 233 copies in this grade. Given its rarity and historic importance within the franchise, this card represents a cornerstone piece for a serious collection.
Released in late 2004, EX Team Rocket Returns served as the debut set for the Gold Star rarity tier, establishing a signature design element for high-tier chase cards of the era. Torchic #108, alongside Treecko and Mudkip, forms the original trio of Gold Star releases, which carried low pull rates of approximately one per two booster boxes. As an early-era Gold Star issue from the mid-2000s EX block, this card occupies a central position in vintage Pokémon TCG history.Show more
