This 2004 Pokémon EX Team Rocket Returns Torchic Gold Star #108 is graded BGS 9 Mint, receiving subgrades of 9 for Centering, 9 for Corners, 9 for Edges, and 9.5 for Surface. Illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, the card presents the shiny variant of the Hoenn Fire-type starter with its signature character artwork extending outside the frame boundary, complete with the printed rule text restricting players to one Pokémon Star card in a deck. The Beckett population report shows 46 copies recorded at this Mint 9 grade. This is an investment-grade Pokémon card.
EX Team Rocket Returns marked the debut of the Gold Star rarity tier in late 2004, introducing ultra-rare chase cards distributed at an estimated rate of one per two booster boxes (1 in 72 packs). Torchic #108 anchor-leads the original Hoenn starter Gold Star trio alongside Treecko and Mudkip. Given the low pull rates of mid-2000s EX-era product and the iconic standing of the initial Gold Star release, this card occupies a pivotal position in the history of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.Show more
