This 2007 Japanese Pokémon DP3 Shining Darkness 1st Edition Darkrai LV.X is graded PSA 10 Gem Mint. The PSA population report lists 130 copies in this top-grade tier. Illustrated by Shizurow, the card displays Darkrai breaking out of the inner art window against a silver holographic foil pattern, a visual element unique to the LV.X rarity tier of the Diamond & Pearl era.
Released in July 2007, Shining Darkness marked the main-set debut of Darkrai in the Japanese Pokémon TCG, coinciding with the theatrical release of Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai. The LV.X mechanic functioned by playing the card directly over an active Darkrai, granting access to the "Dark Shadow" Poké-Body and the "Endless Nightmare" attack while retaining the underlying card's abilities.
