1996 Pokemon Corocoro Comics Promo Japanese Glossy Pikachu #25
Pokemon Cards
CGC1
Pop3
Distributed through CoroCoro Comic in 1996, this early Japanese Pikachu #025 promo stands out for its distinct glossy finish and a well-known production error. The card explicitly credits Ken Sugimori as the illustrator at the bottom left, giving rise to the recognized 'Incorrect Illustrator' error designation that vintage Pokémon collectors actively look for. Encapsulated as a CGC 1 Poor—showing authentic heavy wear from the franchise's earliest years—it holds a population of 3 in CGC's registry at this grade. Combining early Japanese promo history, classic 3D Pikachu artwork, and a documented illustrator mistake, it represents an engaging entry point into vintage error collecting.Show more
