The 1997 Ultra Gold Medallion Michael Jordan #23G is an iconic parallel from one of the most recognizable basketball card sets of the late 1990s. Graded Gem Mint 10 by PSA, this card features the distinct Gold Medallion full-surface gold glitter background. Because this metallic finish is highly susceptible to edge chipping and surface scratching, specimens in perfect condition are scarce. Out of all submissions to PSA, only 66 copies have achieved this highest-tier Gem Mint grade. Valued well above the five-figure threshold, this high-grade parallel represents an investment-grade acquisition for serious collectors of historical basketball assets.
Released during the Chicago Bulls' final championship run of the 1990s, the 1997-98 Ultra set represents the peak of Fleer's premium production design. Jordan went on to secure his sixth NBA Championship and sixth Finals MVP during this 1997-98 campaign, capping off his historic tenure in Chicago. Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009, Jordan's late-career collectibles remain foundational pieces of modern hobby history, with this Gold Medallion parallel standing out as a premier representation of his championship era.Show more
