This 2006 Pokémon EX Dragon Frontiers Charizard Gold Star (Delta Species) #100/101 stands as a blue-chip TCG asset and a cornerstone piece for any serious collection. Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by Beckett Grading Services (BGS), this example exhibits strong technical qualities, featuring subgrades of 10 for Centering, 9 for Corners, 8.5 for Edges, and 8 for Surface. There are 151 examples registered at this grade tier in the BGS population database. Illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, the card depicts the shiny, Darkness-type variant of Charizard soaring against a vibrant green and dark-toned holographic background.
Released as part of the landmark EX Dragon Frontiers expansion, this card showcases the highly collectible Gold Star rarity tier, defined by a distinct gold star icon adjacent to the character's name and a gameplay rule limiting players to just one Pokémon Star per deck. The Delta Species mechanic reimagines classic Pokémon with alternative typing, giving this Charizard its distinctive dark coloration. With its exceptionally low pull rates in 2006 booster packs and its enduring legacy as one of the definitive chase cards of the EX era, this high-grade Charizard remains a premier historical artifact of the franchise.Show more
