1985 Star Gatorade Slam Dunk Michael Jordan #7
Basketball Cards
PSA6
Pop200
An early and incredibly elusive tribute to the greatest of all time, this 1985 Star Gatorade Michael Jordan #7 is a true cornerstone of basketball card history. Released during Jordan's legendary rookie era, this promotional issue from Star features a vibrant green border and the iconic Gatorade logo, capturing "His Airness" driving with the ball in his classic Chicago Bulls uniform. Graded PSA 6 EX-MT, this card represents a highly coveted piece of Star Co. history—a brand that held the exclusive NBA trading card license during Jordan's earliest seasons. With a highly restricted print run and a current PSA population of just 166, finding this regional promotional card in well-preserved condition is an increasingly rare feat for premium collectors.
Michael Jordan's legacy as a six-time NBA Champion, five-time MVP, and global icon ensures that early Star Co. issues remain some of the most sought-after assets in the entire hobby. Unlike the mass-produced releases of the late 1980s, Star Co. cards were distributed in limited quantities, often through regional bags or promotional events, making them highly susceptible to edge wear and centering issues. As vintage basketball collectibles continue to appreciate in both cultural and financial value, this exceptional 1985 Star Gatorade issue stands out as a premier investment piece, offering a beautiful intersection of vintage aesthetics, scarcity, and the legacy of the sport's ultimate icon.Show more
