This 2003 Pokémon Card Fan (#008/PLAY) promo originates from the Japanese Pokémon Player's Club and was distributed during the Summer Battle Road 2003 tournament circuit. Graded PSA 10 Gem Mint, it represents the top grade tier, with a population of 61 copies recorded in the PSA population report. Illustrated by Tomokazu Komiya, the card features his artwork framed within the ADV-era Supporter card design layout.
The Pokémon Player's Club served as Japan's official organized play system during the ADV era, awarding promotional cards to participants based on point accruals from official tournaments. In gameplay, this Supporter card features an effect allowing players to search their deck for up to three Pokémon cards marked with the red PLAY promo emblem. Because these cards were distributed exclusively in Japan through organized play programs rather than retail booster packs, high-grade copies represent a distinct segment of early-2000s Japanese promotional history.Show more
