This 1996-97 Flair Showcase Legacy Collection Row 2 Kobe Bryant rookie card is serial-numbered 099 of 150, representing a highly scarce parallel from the inaugural year of the Flair Showcase basketball line. Graded Near Mint 7 by Beckett Grading Services, the card carries subgrades of Centering 6, Corners 9, Edges 9, and Surface 8.5. The Legacy Collection parallel is characterized by its distinct blue-foil lettering and numbering over the dual-image layout of the Row 2 design. According to the Beckett population report, there are 18 examples holding this exact grade.
Released during Bryant's rookie campaign, this card commemorates the early career of the five-time NBA champion and 18-time All-Star. The 1996-97 Flair Showcase set is recognized for pioneering the tiered structure of Rows 0, 1, and 2, while the Legacy Collection stood as one of the first major serial-numbered parallel chases of the era, making this a key historical artifact from the dawn of ultra-premium basketball card production.Show more
