This 2016 Pokémon XY BREAKpoint Espeon EX #117 is graded PSA 10 Gem Mint. Only 610 copies of this card have achieved this top grade in PSA's population registry, reflecting the difficulty of finding well-centered examples of this era's textured cards. Featuring artwork by illustrator Ryo Ueda, the card depicts the Psychic-type Eeveelution in its Full Art style, with bold purple and magenta tones set against a highly detailed textured background. Textured ultra-rare cards from the XY era are notoriously prone to edge silvering and centering offsets, making a Gem Mint assessment a significant marker of preservation.
Released in February 2016, the XY BREAKpoint expansion introduced several mechanics to the TCG, but this traditional Full Art EX card became a standout for both its artwork and its utility. In competitive play, Espeon EX's 'Miraculous Shine' attack allowed players to devolve all of their opponent's evolved Pokémon, creating a powerful tactical counter to dominant Stage 2 and Mega Evolution strategies of the era. As a prominent Eeveelution print from the mid-2010s, this card stands as a landmark release within the modern era of Pokémon collecting.Show more
