This 1996 Alakazam #065 comes from the historic Japanese Base Set, the foundational release that launched the Pokémon TCG. Graded a PSA 8 NM-MT, the card features the iconic Ken Sugimori illustration of the Stage 2 Psychic-type, complete with the distinct star-pattern holofoil used in early Japanese prints. There are currently 831 copies of this card in a PSA 8 holder, making it a well-established vintage piece from the franchise's debut year. As a cornerstone of the original 151, Alakazam remains a significant chase from the original Expansion Pack set, which is where the game's mechanics and aesthetic were first defined. This copy represents a solid grade for a card nearing three decades of history, showcasing the preservation of the original Japanese card stock and the vibrant colors of Sugimori's classic artwork.Show more
