This 1984-85 Star Court Kings 5x7 Michael Jordan #26 is a premium, investment-grade basketball asset representing Jordan's iconic rookie-era portfolio. Graded BGS 8 (Near Mint-Mint) by Beckett Grading Services, this card boasts outstanding subgrades of 9.5 for Centering, 9 for Edges, 8.5 for Surface, and 7.5 for Corners. With a Beckett population of 115, finding high-grade, structurally sound examples of this oversized issue is exceptionally difficult due to their unique dimensions and original distribution methods.
Produced by the Star Company during their tenure as the exclusive licensed NBA card manufacturer from 1983 to 1986, the Court Kings set is a vital historical release that predates Fleer's 1986 debut. These 5x7 cards were originally packaged in clear poly-bags, making the blue borders highly susceptible to corner wear and edge chipping. Depicting Jordan soaring for a dunk in his early-career Chicago Bulls road uniform, this card represents a pivotal era of the hobby and serves as a cornerstone piece for any serious sports card collection.Show more
