This 2001 Pokémon Neo Discovery Holo Tyranitar #12 is graded PSA 10 Gem Mint. Featuring artwork by Hironobu Yoshida, this Stage 2 card stands as a centerpiece holo from the early Generation II trading card expansion. The PSA population report records 85 examples at the Gem Mint 10 tier.
Released in June 2001 by Wizards of the Coast, Neo Discovery was the second expansion set in the Neo Series, introducing Johto-region Pokémon to the English game. As a popular pseudo-legendary Dark-type Pokémon, Tyranitar #12 represents one of the main holo chases in the 75-card checklist. Vintage holofoil cards from this era are notoriously condition-sensitive due to foil scratching and edge wear, making top-grade specimens challenging to acquire.Show more
