Distributed via the November 1996 issue of CoroCoro Comic in Japan, this Pikachu #025 promo features artwork by Ken Sugimori alongside a distinct glossy finish. The card is evaluated by Beckett Grading Services as a BGS 6.5 EX-MT+, supported by subgrades of Centering 9, Edges 7, Corners 6.5, and Surface 6. According to the BGS population report, 3 copies share this exact grade. Released during the debut year of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, CoroCoro magazine promos were physically bound into publication sheets. The unbinding process and magazine storage frequently caused edge flaking and surface scratches, rendering preserved early glossy promos scarce. This issue remains a key representative of the franchise's initial promotional distribution history.Show more
