This 2003 Pokémon Nintendo Black Star Promo Mudkip #018 is graded PSA 10 Gem Mint. Illustrated by Kagemaru Himeno, the card features the Water-type Hoenn starter framed by the signature e-Reader border of the early EX Series era. According to the PSA population report, 28 examples have achieved the Gem Mint 10 grade.
Distributed as part of the initial Nintendo Black Star Promo series, card #018 helped launch the Generation III starters in the Pokémon Trading Card Game following Nintendo taking over primary publishing rights from Wizards of the Coast. The inclusion of the e-Reader strip reflects a distinct transitional period in the TCG's history, combining physical card play with Nintendo Game Boy Advance compatibility.Show more
