Pop29
The 2006 Pokémon EX Crystal Guardians Alakazam Gold Star #99 stands as one of the most distinct chase cards of the EX era. This example is graded BGS 7.5 Near Mint+ by Beckett Grading Services, supported by a Gem Mint 9.5 Centering subgrade, alongside 8.5 Edges, 7.5 Corners, and 7 Surface. According to the grading report, there are 28 copies of this card registered at this exact BGS 7.5 tier.
Illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, this card depicts Alakazam in its Shiny coloration, featuring the signature design characteristic of Gold Star cards where the artwork breaks past the traditional frame. Gold Star cards carried a strict one-per-deck rule as noted on the card face, reflecting their extreme print scarcity in the mid-2000s. This card represents a key piece of early TCG history, showcasing Alakazam with its dual spoons in a dynamic pose.Show more
