The 1999 Donruss Elite Passing the Torch Autographs #4 features Pro Football Hall of Fame running backs Walter Payton and Barry Sanders. Graded BGS 9 Mint with a 10 Autograph grade, the card holds individual subgrades of Centering 9, Corners 9, Edges 9.5, and Surface 9. Numbered 42 on the card reverse, Beckett's population report shows 14 examples graded at the BGS 9 level. Given its extreme scarcity and historic dual-subject pairing, this card stands as a blue-chip football asset.
Donruss Elite's Passing the Torch insert set remains one of the defining multi-signed releases of the late 1990s, designed to pair historical icons with the modern stars who followed in their footsteps. Featuring signatures from both Chicago Bears legend Walter Payton and Detroit Lions superstar Barry Sanders, this dual-sided card unites two of the greatest ball-carriers in NFL history on a single release from 1999.Show more
