The 2000 Pokémon Neo Genesis 1st Edition Holo Lugia #9 is graded CGC Gem Mint 10. According to CGC population records, 90 copies have achieved this grade. Illustrated by Hironobu Yoshida, the card bears the original 1st Edition symbol to the lower-left of the artwork window and is numbered 9/111 in the expansion. This is an investment-grade TCG asset.
Released in December 2000, Neo Genesis introduced Generation II Pokémon to the English Trading Card Game, establishing Lugia as the set's premier chase card. Holofoil cards from the Neo Genesis 1st Edition release are widely documented for their factory condition sensitivity, frequently affected by heavy print lines and perimeter edge silvering directly out of the booster pack. Securing a Gem Mint 10 grade requires clean surfaces and exceptional eye appeal on a card where manufacturing imperfections are common.Show more
