This 1997 Metal Universe Platinum Portraits Allen Iverson (#2 PP) is graded PSA 9 Mint. Inserted at a rate of 1:288 hobby packs during Iverson's second NBA season, the 15-card Platinum Portraits set stands as a landmark insert from the late-1990s basketball card era. The card utilizes a intricate laser-cut dot-matrix aperture design across metallic foil stock to create Iverson's silhouette.
According to the PSA population report, 32 examples of this card have achieved the Mint 9 grade, with only nine higher. Iverson was selected first overall in the 1996 NBA Draft, won the 1996-97 NBA Rookie of the Year award, captured four NBA scoring titles, earned 2001 NBA MVP honors, and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.Show more
