This 2001 Pokémon Neo Revelation 1st Edition Shining Gyarados (#65/64) is graded EX-MT 6 by Beckett Grading Services. Highlighted by near-flawless 9.5 Centering and strong 8 Corners, the card's overall grade is defined by its 6 Edges and 5.5 Surface subgrades. According to the BGS population report, there are only 5 copies of this historic 1st Edition card graded at this exact EX-MT 6 level. Illustrated by Ken Sugimori, the artwork depicts the famous red shiny Gyarados confronting a trainer in a small boat, accented by the unique textured holographic foil on the Pokémon itself.
Neo Revelation holds a permanent place in TCG history as the expansion that introduced the 'Shining' archetype to the English expansion series. As one of the first two Secret Rare Shining cards ever created, it features the historic deck-limit rule printed directly on the card face, restricting players to just one copy in competitive play. By applying the holographic foil strictly to the character artwork rather than the background, this card pioneered a visual design shift that remains one of the most celebrated print variations from the Wizards of the Coast era.Show more
