This 2000 Raikou #243 comes from the Japanese Awakening Legends set, part of the foundational Neo series that introduced the Johto region to the TCG. Featuring the original character artwork by Ken Sugimori, this holo captures one of the three legendary beasts in its debut era. The card is graded a NM/MINT+ 8.5 by CGC, a solid grade for early Japanese holofoil stock which is known for its distinct mirror-like finish and susceptibility to surface wear over time. There are currently 121 copies at this grade level, making it a well-preserved example from a set that is highly regarded for its lore-heavy additions to the franchise, including the first appearances of Shining Pokémon. As interest in the Gen II era remains a staple for vintage collectors, this Raikou stands as a clean, accessible piece of the series' history.Show more
