The 2001 Pokémon Southern Islands Mew #1 is graded PSA 8 Near Mint-Mint. Illustrated by Keiko Fukuyama, this card features Mew framed by the set's signature cosmos holographic foil pattern across the card border and text box. The PSA population report records 1,576 copies evaluated at this grade.
Released by Wizards of the Coast in 2001, Southern Islands was an 18-card promotional set adapted from Japan's 1999 collection tied to the theatrical release of the second Pokémon movie. Distributed exclusively in a themed binder collection rather than traditional booster packs, the set was divided into Rainbow Island and Tropical Island subsets with connecting card art panels. Mew serves as card #1 of the set and the primary holographic release of the Rainbow Island group.Show more
