This 1999 Electabuzz is a classic piece of Pokémon TCG history, released as part of the original Wizards of the Coast Black Star Promo set to coincide with the theatrical debut of Pokémon: The First Movie. Featuring iconic artwork by Ken Sugimori, this card #2 was one of four promos handed out to theater-goers during the Mewtwo Strikes Back release. This example is graded a CGC Pristine 10, a top-tier condition for a vintage promo that was originally distributed in simple cellophane packs prone to handling wear. With a population of only 84 copies at this grade level, it is a remarkably well-preserved survivor from the franchise's initial global boom. These early movie promos remain a staple for collectors building out vintage sets, as they represent the first major cross-media collaboration for the TCG in North America.Show more
