This 1999 Japanese Pokémon Promo features Alakazam (#65) from the Masaki Vending Series Mail-In Campaign, with artwork illustrated by Shin-ichi Yoshida. Graded BGS 8 NM-MT by Beckett, the card carries subgrades of 8.5 for Centering, 8 for Corners, 8 for Edges, and 8 for Surface. BGS population reports show 40 copies evaluated at this grade. Obtained exclusively through the 1999 "Communication Evolution" campaign, collectors were required to mail in a "Bill's PC" card alongside a Kadabra from the Vending Series to Media Factory to receive this holographic Alakazam in return. Because these promotional cards were returned through the mail, edge and corner wear from original transit are common, making well-preserved vintage Masaki promos key historical releases from the early Japanese TCG era.Show more
