Released as part of a collaboration for the Edvard Munch: A Retrospective exhibition, this 2018 Japanese Sun & Moon Promo Pikachu (#288/SM-P) features artwork by You Iribi echoing Edvard Munch's classic 1893 painting, The Scream. Graded BGS 10 Pristine, the card earned subgrades of 10 for Centering, 10 for Edges, 10 for Surface, and 9.5 for Corners. Beckett Grading Services records a population of 101 copies at this grade level. This is an investment-grade TCG asset.
Distributed exclusively in Japan through the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and Pokémon Center locations during the exhibition's run from late 2018 into early 2019, the promo required a specific product purchase to obtain. It stands as the key chase piece from the five-card Munch promo set, which also included Eevee, Psyduck, Rowlet, and Mimikyu, representing a historic intersection of traditional fine art and modern trading card design.Show more
