This 2001 Neo Discovery Tyranitar #12 is a standout representation of the Johto region's premier pseudo-legendary, hailing from the second expansion of the Neo era. Graded a PSA 9 Mint, this copy is one of 573 in the population at this level and features the classic cosmos holofoil pattern synonymous with early 2000s releases. Illustrated by Hironobu Yoshida, the artwork captures Tyranitar in its debut TCG appearance, a moment that helped define the aesthetic for Dark-type Pokémon upon their introduction. Neo Discovery holds a significant place in the franchise's history for integrating Generation II species into the game, and as the very first holofoil Tyranitar ever printed, this card remains a primary chase for those focused on the Neo series. Its mechanical design, featuring heavy-hitting attacks like Slam and Trample, made it a formidable Stage 2 presence in early competitive play, and it continues to be a foundational piece for collectors revisiting the transition into the Gold and Silver era.Show more
