This 1999 Japanese Pokémon Intro Pack Squirtle Deck Holo Blastoise #009 is graded PSA 10 Gem Mint. PSA has awarded this top numeric grade to 150 examples in its population report. Illustrated by Ken Sugimori, the card showcases the Stage 2 Water-type Pokémon set against a Japanese-exclusive starlight holofoil pattern and includes the staple Rain Dance Pokémon Power.
Released in Japan in May 1999, the Intro Pack was created as an instructional product featuring two 30-card half decks focused on Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Cards from this release were distributed strictly within the boxed deck set rather than standard booster packs, making them distinct from main expansion prints. This Blastoise serves as the primary holofoil card of the Squirtle Deck, denoted by the Squirtle silhouette icon printed at the bottom right of the artwork frame.Show more
