The 2006 Pokémon EX Crystal Guardians Alakazam Gold Star #99 is graded PSA 8 NM-MT. Illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, the card highlights the shiny, alternative color palette of Alakazam with its hands and spoons extending past the artwork border—a signature visual feature of the Gold Star classification. According to the PSA population report, 369 copies of this card have received a Near Mint-Mint 8 evaluation. The card text includes the printed mechanical rule restricting players to a single Pokémon Gold Star card per deck.
Released in 2006, EX Crystal Guardians served as the 14th set in the EX Series block. Gold Star cards were introduced in EX Team Rocket Returns as ultra-rare chase cards, distinguished by low pull rates estimated at approximately one per two booster boxes. Positioned at card #99/100, Alakazam ☆ stands as one of the key Secret Rare pulls from the set's original print run.Show more
