The 2001 Pokémon Neo Revelation Unlimited Shining Gyarados #65/64 is graded BGS 8.5 NM-MT+, with individual subgrades of 9.5 for Centering, 9 for Surface, 8.5 for Edges, and 8 for Corners. Illustrated by Ken Sugimori, this copy holds a BGS population of 216. It is a secret rare card numbered beyond the set's standard 64-card checklist and features the printed gameplay text restricting players to a single Shining Gyarados per deck.
Released in 2001, Neo Revelation introduced Shining Pokémon to the English Trading Card Game, with Shining Gyarados and Shining Magikarp serving as the initial two secret rare additions to the expansion. Unlike conventional Holofoil cards of the era, the foil process on Shining cards was applied directly to the character art rather than the card frame background. The issue remains a historic milestone from the original Wizards of the Coast era.Show more
