This 2000 Pokémon Neo Genesis 1st Edition Holo Lugia #9 is graded BGS 8.5 NM-MT+ by Beckett Grading Services. The subgrade breakdown records Centering at 9, Edges at 8.5, Corners at 8.5, and Surface at 8. The Beckett population report lists 578 copies in this exact 8.5 grade. Illustrated by Hironobu Yoshida, the card features the Legendary Pokémon alongside its signature 90-damage Elemental Blast attack. Released in December 2000, Neo Genesis introduced Generation II Pokémon to the English Trading Card Game, establishing new game mechanics and card layouts. As the primary holographic rare of the set and the box mascot for Pokémon Silver, the 1st Edition Lugia serves as the anchor card for the entire Neo era. English Neo Genesis printings are well-documented for condition sensitivity due to factory blade wear and surface print lines, defining the grading distribution for high-grade 1st Edition holographic examples.Show more
