This 2017 Pokémon Sun & Moon Black Star Promo features Shining Lugia (#SM82), graded a Gem Mint 10 by PSA. Out of all submissions graded by PSA, only 824 have achieved this top-tier designation. Illustrated by Hitoshi Ariga, the card highlights the distinctive "Shining" design mechanic, showcasing a textured, shimmering foil layer specifically applied to Lugia's body. Distributed exclusively as a promotional card inside the Shining Legends Super Premium Collection, this card was never available in standard booster packs.
The Shining Legends expansion marked the return of the "Shining" Pokémon rarity tier originally popularized in the 2001 Neo Destiny set. Because the Super Premium Collection utilized rigid plastic packaging inserts, raw copies of this promo frequently suffered from corner dings, edge chipping, or centering issues directly out of the box. This specimen successfully avoided these common packaging-related defects to earn a flawless assessment.Show more
