Graded PSA 10 Gem Mint, this 2003 Pokémon Japanese ADV-P Promo Groudon ex (#002) is one of 67 copies in the PSA population report to reach the top tier. Distributed as an exclusive physical insert in Japan's CoroCoro Comic, the card features artwork credited to Kazuo Yazawa depicting the Generation III Legendary Pokémon with 120 HP and its signature 80-damage "Major Earthquake" attack.
Released at the onset of the Pokémon TCG's ADV era, this card stands among the earliest promotional releases to implement the high-risk "Pokémon ex" game mechanic, which designated that knock-outs yielded two Prize cards to the opponent. Because publication promos from this period were attached directly inside magazines without standard card sleeves, surviving examples capable of earning a Gem Mint grade are exceptionally condition-sensitive.Show more
