This 1999 Japanese Gym 2 Rocket's Mewtwo holo is a classic piece of early TCG history from the expansion known in Japan as Challenge from the Darkness. Illustrated by Shin-ichi Yoshida, this card features the iconic owner's Pokémon mechanic and a moody cosmos holofoil pattern that defines the aesthetic of the Team Rocket-influenced sets. Graded a VG-EX 4 by PSA, it sits in a population of 173 at this specific grade, offering a solid entry point for collectors looking to add a staple character from the franchise's early years. The Gym series holds a significant place in the Pokémon release timeline for being the first to tie specific Pokémon to their respective Gym Leaders or organizations, and Mewtwo remains one of the most recognizable figures from this era of the game.Show more
