Pop367
Released within the 2006 Pokémon EX Holon Phantoms expansion, this Pikachu Gold Star #104 is graded PSA 8 Near Mint-Mint, with 367 examples registered at this level in the PSA population report. Illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, the artwork depicts the Shiny color variant of Pikachu extending beyond the character window frame, paired with the gameplay restriction stating that a player may only have one Pokémon Gold Star in their deck. Given its low print frequency and historic importance to the TCG, this is an investment-grade Pokémon card.
Gold Star cards were introduced during the EX Series to highlight Shiny Pokémon with distinct dynamic illustrations. Appearing at roughly one per booster box during their original release window, they represent the key chase tier of mid-2000s Pokémon sets. EX Holon Phantoms expanded on the Delta Species storyline in May 2006, with Pikachu #104 standing as the premier featured card on the set checklist.Show more
