The 2005 Pokémon Japanese Gift Box Mew Pikachu Gold Star #001/002 is graded EX 5 by PSA. PSA records a total population of 290 copies for this issue. Illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, the card artwork features Pikachu extending beyond the frame boundary and includes the printed rule text restricting decks to a single Gold Star card. Distributed exclusively in Japan within the 2005 Gift Box Mew product, this release stands among the earliest Gold Star cards introduced during the EX Era. The Gold Star subset debuted alternate-coloration Pokémon imagery with specialized frame-breaking art styles. Because it was obtainable only inside the fixed boxed set rather than through conventional booster packs, this card occupies a distinct place in Japanese promotional set history.Show more
