The 2006 Pokémon EX Dragon Frontiers Charizard Gold Star δ #100 is the headlining secret rare of the late EX Era. Illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, the card showcases the shiny black variant of Charizard with artwork breaking out of the standard image window. Graded CGC Gem Mint 10, this card is one of 24 to attain this grade in the CGC population report. As a top-pop copy of the premier chase card from this release, it represents an investment-grade TCG asset.
Gold Star cards introduced a heightened rarity tier to the Pokémon Trading Card Game, falling at an estimated pull rate of approximately one in 108 booster packs. The design included a built-in mechanical restriction printed directly on the card face: "You can't have more than 1 Pokémon ☆ in your deck." Combined with the Delta Species concept that shifted Charizard into a Darkness-type Pokémon with the Dark Swirl attack, card #100 remains one of the defining releases in the history of the Pokémon TCG.Show more
