This 1999 Electabuzz represents one of the most recognizable early Pokémon TCG releases, distributed as a "Kids' WB! Presents" promo for the theatrical run of Mewtwo Strikes Back. As card #2 in the original Wizards of the Coast Black Star Promo series, it holds a significant place in the franchise's western launch history. This example is graded a Mint 9 by CGC, with a population of 1,605 at this tier, offering a high-grade look at the classic Ken Sugimori illustration. The card features the distinctive movie-themed stamp on the artwork and the Black Star "PROMO" emblem in the bottom right of the art box, both hallmarks of the era's collectible tie-ins. Given its status as one of the first promotional cards many fans ever owned, it remains a consistent favorite for collectors revisiting the foundational years of the TCG.Show more
