The 1986 Fleer Basketball series stands as a landmark issue in modern sports card collecting, representing Fleer's return to NBA licensing following a multi-year gap in official card production. Card #57 features Chicago Bulls guard Michael Jordan in his official rookie card appearance. Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA, the card exhibits clear image registration framed by the set's full-bleed red, white, and blue border design. PSA population reports show 9,423 copies verified at the PSA 8 grade. This is a cornerstone piece for a serious collection.
The 1986 Fleer set captured several years of premier rookie classes in a single checklist, establishing the baseline for modern basketball issues. Jordan's career record includes six NBA championships, five regular-season MVP awards, six Finals MVPs, and a 2009 induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The red border construction of the 1986 Fleer issue makes edge and corner wear common, giving high-grade examples like this PSA 8 holder verified condition stability across the surface and reverse.Show more
