The 2003 Pokémon EX Dragon Rayquaza ex #97 marks the first Trading Card Game appearance of the iconic Legendary Hoenn dragon. Graded NM 7 by PSA, the card currently stands at a population of 553 copies in this grade within the PSA population report. Illustrated by Hikaru Koike, the visual depicts Rayquaza bursting out of a dark, holofoil cosmic background alongside classic 100 HP stats and its dual-type energy requirement for the Dragon Burst attack.
Positioned as the main chase card of the EX Dragon expansion, this release stands at the center of the early EX Series era, which introduced high-risk, high-reward mechanic rules yielding two Prize cards upon KO. Produced during the tail end of the e-Card format, the card incorporates the signature silver foil outer borders and code striping along the bottom, serving as an important historical release from the Gen III era.Show more
