This 1999 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems Derek Jeter card is a standout example of one of the most celebrated baseball parallel sets of the late 1990s. Serial-numbered 40/50 on the reverse, the card is graded EX 5 by PSA. The 1999 PMG release is renowned among collectors for its extreme condition sensitivity, as the full-bleed foil surfaces and fragile edges make finding copies in stable grades exceptionally difficult. The PSA population report shows just 4 examples matching this exact grade, highlighting its rarity and making this a blue-chip asset for any serious baseball portfolio.
The Precious Metal Gems series stands as a landmark of late-1990s sports card design, featuring a distinct textured gold aesthetic and a highly restricted print run of just 50 copies per subject. This card depicts Hall of Fame shortstop Derek Jeter during the height of the Yankees' late-90s dynasty. As a key insert from an era-defining release, this Jeter PMG offers a rare combination of modern hobby history and the legacy of one of baseball's most iconic shortstops.Show more
