The 1998 Pokémon Japanese Vending Series 3 Ooyama's Pikachu #025 is one of the most recognizable releases from the early Pocket Monsters Card Game era. Illustrated by Shin-ichi Ooyama, the card features hand-drawn art, handwritten text, and non-traditional game mechanics distinct to Ooyama's contributions. Graded PSA 10 Gem Mint, this copy represents the highest standard grade, with 2,068 examples recorded at this level in the PSA population report.
Originally released exclusively in Japan via Vending Machine Expansion Sheet 3 in 1998, cards in this series were distributed on thick paper sheets and had to be peeled off by hand. Because the peeling process routinely caused surface indentations or edge wear, pristine copies are condition-sensitive. The card features the unique Japanese Vending-era back design depicting seven classic Pokémon around a central Pokéball logo.Show more
