Basketball Cards
BGS7.5
Pop140
An absolute cornerstone of early basketball card collecting, this 1985 Star Gatorade Slam Dunk #7 Michael Jordan is graded BGS 7.5 Near Mint+. The card boasts exceptional eye appeal, anchored by an impressive Centering subgrade of 9, alongside sharp 8.5 Corners and 8.5 Edges, while a conservative 6.5 Surface grade keeps the overall grade at a highly respectable 7.5. Featuring a vibrant green border framing a focused young Jordan, this iconic card celebrates his legendary performance in the 1985 Slam Dunk contest. Because Star Company cards pre-date Jordan's 1986 Fleer rookie card and were distributed in extremely limited quantities, they remain some of the most historic and coveted Jordan issues in existence.
Michael Jordan's legacy as a six-time NBA Champion, five-time MVP, and global icon needs no introduction, and his earliest collectibles continue to lead the sports memorabilia market. Unlike mass-produced sets of the era, Star Company releases were distributed in select team bags, ensuring a inherently low survival rate for high-grade specimens. With a scarce BGS population of just 138, this beautiful piece of basketball history represents a premier target for sophisticated investors and elite curators seeking to anchor their collections with a museum-quality relic from the dawn of His Airness's reign.Show more
