The 1999 Pokémon Base Set Shadowless Blastoise #2 is graded PSA 8 Near Mint-Mint. Illustrated by Ken Sugimori, the card features the Stage 2 Water-type Pokémon along with its Rain Dance Pokémon Power and Hydro Pump attack. According to the PSA population report, 1,202 copies hold this NM-MT 8 designation.
Shadowless cards represent the second production run of the English Base Set, bridging the brief gap between the 1st Edition print and the standard Unlimited run. They are characterized by the absence of a drop shadow behind the holographic art frame, thinner font styling for the HP, and the inclusion of '1999 Wizards' in the bottom copyright line. Card #2 in the original 102-card set, Blastoise is one of the three flagship final-evolution holographic starters from the birth of the trading card game.Show more
